I have always loved getting packages in the mail. I also have a love for oats. Overnight oats, or just be eating granola by the handful is one of my favourite breakfasts and snacks. OatBox combines those loves and I couldn’t be happier with my first box!  Car2Go offered their members a free box as a holiday gift I couldn’t pass this opportunity up. I am so happy with this box I have continued my subscription and am receiving another box mid January!

Each month OatBox send out two 380g bags of granola in their two monthly featured flavours. It costs $20 a month, including taxes and shipping. You can also preview the flavours as well as a list of ingredients and can switch out a bag with one of their regular granola blends. There are also certified gluten-free granola blends available.  Oatbox also provides flexibility allowing you to skip boxes if you don’t need more granola. In your first box you get a cute little glass container to take your granola on the go with you!

My favourite part of this company is that they are Canadian owned and run out of Montreal. They take pride in choosing ingredients coming from local, ethical and responsible sources. OatBox also provides a breakfast for one child through Breakfast Club of Canada with each box sold!

I subscribed mid-December and received the Cranberry and Dark Chocolate Granola as well as the Gingerbread Granola. Both of these granola’s seemed very seasonally appropriate for December. Both batches I received are fresh until July 8th 2017, however there is no way it will make it that long before I finish it!

Gingerbread Granola

They also include a seasonally appropriate recipes with each granola mix. For the Cranberry and Dark Chocolate Granola the recipe was Cranberry and Cardamon Poached Pears and I can’t wait to try the granola in this recipe as I love pears. The second recipe was for Cinnamon Rolls using the Gingerbread Granola.

My favourite blend this month was the Cranberry and Dark Chocolate Granola. I also really enjoyed the Gingerbread Granola, but I think I needed the gingerbread flavour to be a bit stronger.
